Frequently Asked Questions

Who should come to therapy?

I don’t really like ‘shoulds’ – though I struggle with them too – but I believe that most people can benefit from having someone who is not a part of their daily lives to provide non-judgmental listening and support. If you absolutely hate the idea of therapy, then it might not be for you – or the timing might not be right. If you are curious about it but nervous, please contact me to see if I might be a good fit for you. If you decide that it’s not for you or not the right time, I will completely understand.

There are many psychotherapists (or social workers or psychologists etc.) around, but you need to find the right person for you. I am compassionate and open to whatever you bring to our sessions, and I will tailor my interventions to your needs. I also like to laugh and I often use humour in sessions because it can lighten things up when they’re too intense. It also tends to allow us to go deeper and to play with things that are hard. But the only way you will know if I’m right for you is if you feel comfortable when you’re with me. Please contact me to find out!

I require 24 hours notice in order to cancel a session without payment. If a client does not show up to session without notice, the session must be paid in full.

I accept e-transfers and credit card payments prior to or by the end of each session.
